17 Essential Things To Do When You Start Blogging
It is quite easy to create a blog in this age, but when it comes to run a blog, many bloggers fail due to lack of knowledge about blogging. As result, we come across millions of outdated blogs. Today I will share some essential or vital things to do when you create a new blog using Blogger.
1. Before Creating Your Blog
a. What do you expect from your blog? Ask yourself the reason why you decide to blog, normally there are three types for blogging which are “blogging to fame“, “blogging to make money“, “blogging to blog“. I will share some cool links for each type to allow you understand what each term means, quickly but before this, I want to tell you that nearly 60 percent of blogs are created to make money online thats why in this article I will focus on blogging to make money online.
b. Want to make money online ? If yes, first ask yourself the topics you can write about. It is always better to write about a topic you are good at, by this way, you can get many comments to your articles you can increase your popularity, in turn your blog gains traffic and as result you can monetize it. If you are interested in cars write a blog about cars, if you are mom write your experiences, review baby foods, if you shop a lot, write about fashion discounts and stuff..
c. Are you patient ? If you are not, you cannot be a blogger. You have to be patient in order to be famous and to make money online. Because it will take time to reach your goals.
2. Preparing Your Blog
You registered Blogger.com to create a free blog and now you do not know what to do, although you know that it cannot not that easy. Now, follow the steps below to prepare your blog.
a. You need a Blogger template – Design matters, instead of using Blogger’s ready to use templates, I advise you to find some good-looking templates for your blog. While choosing your template, I advise you to pick one that consists of two columns, looks stylish and loads fast. a1. Edit your Blogger template - Fill sidebars with content adding widgets. I advise you to add classic widgets like labels, recent posts and recent comments. Do not exaggerate this, set aside some space for ads.

3. After Your Is Prepared
a. Start writing - Write your own thoughts with your own words. You have to write original articles to take attention. Do not steal others’ articles and do not publish them in your blog. You will not be able to manage anything by copying and pasting. So let your blog be original and reference for others.
b. Google Webmaster Tools – After writing about 20 articles you are highly recommended to submit your blog to Google Webmaster Tools. Thus, Google will be warned when you post a new article and your article will be added to Google’s index quickly.
c. Google Analytics – To keep track of your visitors, you must use Google Analytics. Google Analytics will tell you how many visitors come to your blog, how they find you, where are they from, how many pages they visit and many other things.
d. Keep on writing – Update your blog daily, i know that updating a blog is pain in ass thats why i asked you to be patient in order to be successful.
e. Exchange links – Exchange links with the blogs which have related content with yours. This will enhance your blog’s popularity and search engine visibility.
4. Make Money Online
Making money from your blogs is the sweetest part of blogging, when you start making money, you will also start writing many articles a day. But as i always say, you must be patient. When your blog gets hundred visitors a day you can apply for Google Adsense and Infolinks to make money from your blog.
